The second team vehicle FSB2009 was presented with improvements in design over the previous year prototype, along with a new image in black and the number 26. That year the team changed its name to Formula Student Bizkaia, thanks to the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
FSB2009 brought new ideas and a more appealing design to the FSB single-seaters roster.
