¡Fabricando los periféricos para montarlos en el nuevo monocasco!
Tras finalizar la fabricación del monocasco, en grupo chasis estamos ya con el resto de las piezas que irán montadas en el mismo.
El reposacabezas y el morro están ya fabricados. Se ha reducido en gran medida el peso y los acabados son realmente buenos. La optimización realizada en el número de capas que se han usado ha sido acertada. Ya tenemos ganas de montar ambas piezas en el monocasco en cuanto vuelva de haberse pintado.
Por otro lado el molde del asiento y el modelo del volante están ya finalizados. Para realizar la fabricación de las piezas, se ha optimizado el número de capas con el uso del Ansys, siendo posible así reducir al máximo el peso y mantener o aumentar la rigidez.
Por otro lado, desmoldeamos ya el monocasco, obteniendo un gran acabado y reduciendo el peso del mismo en un 23%! La optimización realizada en el proceso de fabricación ha dado sus frutos, aunque aún quedan cosas por pulir para años venideros.
Dentro de poco tendremos dando guerra al nuevo miembro de nuestra gran familia, el FSB2016!
We have ended manufacturing the monocoque, so we have started with the rest of the elements that define the driver´s cockpit.
The headrest and the nose are already manufactured. The finishes are really good, and we have greatly reduced its weight . The optimization performed on the number of layers that have been used has been successful. We are looking forward to assemble both pieces in the monocoque as soon as it is painted.
On the other hand, the seat´s mold and the steering wheel´s model are already finished. The number of layers used in these processes have been optimized with the use of Ansys in order to minimize the weight and to maintain or increase rigidity.
Furthermore, the monocoque was removed form its mold, obtaining a great finish and reducing its weight by 23%! The optimization performed in the manufacturing process has paid off, although there are still things to polish in following years.
The newest member of our family will be soon ready , the FSB2016!
