NEW SEASON IN POWERTRAIN GROUP
The season has already started and Powertrain members are making progress with their designs.
On the one hand, the motors for the FSB20 have already been chosen, with the help of the Simulation group, who has been charged with analysing the possible effects of different models on the car.
On the other hand, after several iterations with the gear calculation program, they have been able to dimension the reducer gearset that best adapts to their needs, even though the model still needs optimizing.
Regarding the inverters, an exhaustive analysis is being carried out in order to maximize the two motors’ performance and be able to reach the goals that have been defined by the team at the beginning of the season.
Concerning the accumulator, after analyzing the necessary energy to finish the endurance in the expected time, the cell model and configuration have been selected, based both on the datasheet offered by the manufacturer and on experimental data collected in the test bench created by themselves. The material that will be used to manufacture the accumulator container is still not defined, and different alternatives are being considered so as to fulfil the imposed requirements.

Alde batetik FSB20 autorako motorren aukeraketa egin dute simulation taldeko kideen laguntzaz, azken finean, hauek arduratu baitira motor ezberdinek autoarengan izango luketen eragina aztertzeaz.
Bestalde, engranajeen kalkulurako erabiltzen duten programan zenbait iterazio egin ostean, autora hobekien egokituko den erreduktorea dimentsionatu dute. Behin hori eginik izanda, hau optimizatzeari ekin diote.

Por un lado, han realizado la elección de motores para el FSB20 con la ayuda del grupo simulation, que se han encargado de analizar los posibles efectos de los diferentes motores sobre el coche.
Por otro lado, después de realizar varias iteraciones con el programa para el cálculo de engranajes han podido dimensionar la reductora que mejor se adecúa a sus necesidades; si bien está a falta de optimizar.
En cuanto a los inversores, están llevando a cabo un análisis exhaustivo, con el fin de maximizar el correcto funcionamiento de los motores y así poder alcanzar los objetivos definidos por el equipo a principio de la temporada.
En cuanto al accumulator, después de analizar la energía necesaria para acabar la endurance en el tiempo esperado, han podido seleccionar la configuración y el modelo de celda basándose, por una parte, en el datasheet que ofrece el fabricante, y por otra, mediante pruebas experimentales en el banco de pruebas que ellos mismos han fabricado. El material que utilizarán para fabricar el accumulator container no está definido, si bien se está trabajando con diferentes materiales y poder así cumplir los requisitos estipulados.
