Simulation is bringing new control strategies
The Simulation group, as a means to improve the overall performance of the FSB2020, aside from the redesign of the car, is working on new control strategies that will boost the results of the team.
The data that is retrieved from the car is instrumental to develop the control strategies that enables our drivers to push it to its limit. That is why it has been fundamental to develop a telemetry system that copes with the ever-growing necessities of the team.
For several years it was based on ZigBee modules but as a part of the redesign, we have transitioned to a WIFI based technology together with a brand-new interface that will allow us to race with the confidence that the car and the driver are on the best conditions.
Nevertheless, the work of these season has not just been to develop it but to establish a Know-How that will enable in future seasons to substitute the commercial elements, bringing up the efficiency while keeping the costs down.

Como parte de la apuesta de este año para mejorar el diseño de nuestro monoplaza, desde el grupo Simulation se está trabajando en la performance del FSB2020 estableciendo nuevas estrategias de control.
Estas estrategias parten de un profundo conocimiento del estado del vehículo mientras es llevado al límite en pista, y por eso nos hemos centrado en desarrollar un sistema de telemetría que se ajuste a las necesidades cada vez más exigentes de nuestro equipo.
Es por ello que hemos dado el paso de un sistema conformado por dos módulos ZigBee a integrar uno basado en tecnología WIFI que, junto con una interfaz gráfica rediseñada, nos permite rodar con la confianza de que el coche y el piloto están en las mejores condiciones.
Por otra parte, no hemos querido quedarnos en integrar el nuevo sistema, sino que estamos trabajando para establecer el Know-How que nos permita sustituir en futuras temporadas los elementos comerciales del sistema, mejorando la eficiencia y reduciendo costes.
