Season 19/20 Recap
Although it's been a while since the last post, Formula Student Bizkaia team has been working nonstop, even during lockdown. Due to the global pandemic many tasks have been harder to carry out, nevertheless, we had the opportunity to participate in the FSUK virtual competition.
On one hand, there was the virtual dynamic event made up of two parts:
Lap-Time Simulation (LTS) of Acceleration and Skid-Pad using a Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) Model.
Online multiplayer competitive sim races using Assetto Corsa and an IMechE hosted private servers.
And on the other hand, the virtual static events where experts from the automotive sector, who play the role of judges, test the knowledge and skills of team members through three different events:
Business Plan: in which you present a profitable business model using the self-developed race car to the judges who are the potential investors.
Cost and Manufacturing: where we carry out the financial planning of all manufacturing processes, materials and elements of the vehicle.
Design : where the technical knowledge of the members is tested, as well as the ability to think fast and come up with well argued answers.
On the overall FSUK ranking we have finished 6th out of the 67 participants.
Finally, we designed two different singleseaters the FSB2020 (rear transmission wheel) and the FSB2021 (all wheel drive), but the fabrication stage came to a halt due to the sanitary crisis. However, we will complete them this season and we just can't wait to race them both!!!
19/20. DENBORALDIAREN LABURPENA
Azken argitalpenetik denbora bat igaro den arren, Formula Student Bizkaiako taldea etengabe aritu da lanean, baita konfinamenduan ere. Pandemia globalaren ondorioz, zeregin asko zailagoak izan dira, baina FSUK lehiaketa birtualean parte hartzeko gai izan ginen.
Alde batetik, proba dinamiko birtuala zegoen, bi zatiz osatuta:
Azelerazio- eta irristatze-itzulerako denboraren simulazioa (lts), hainbat gorputzeko dinamika-eredu baten bidez (mbd).
Jokalari anitzeko lineako simulazio-lasterketa lehiakorrak, Assetto Corsa eta IMechEn ostatatutako zerbitzari pribatuak erabiliz.
Bestetik, proba birtual estatikoak, automobilgintzaren sektoreko adituek, epaile lanak egiten dituztenek, taldekideen ezagutza eta trebetasuna probatzen dituztenak, hiru ekitaldiren bidez:
Business Plana: garapen bakarreko auto baten negozio-eredu errentagarria aurkezten zaie epaileei, horiek inbertzaile posibleak bezala.
Kostuak eta fabrikazioa: ibilgailuaren fabrikazio-prozesu, material eta elementu guztien finantza-plangintza egiten dugu.
Diseinua: kideek ezagutza teknikoak erakusteko aukera daukate. Aldi berean azkar pentsatzeko eta ondo argudiatutako erantzunak emateko gaitasuna ere baloratzen da.
FSUKeko sailkapen orokorrean, 67 lehiakideetatik seigarrenaka amaitu dugu. Azkenik, aurreko denboraldia berezia izan da. Izan ere, bi monoplaza ezberdin diseinatu ditugu, FSB2020 (atzealdeko transmisio-gurpila) eta FSB2021 (guztizko trakzioa), baina fabrikazio-etapa gelditu egin zen osasun-krisiaren ondorioz. Hala ere, denboraldi honetan osatuko ditugu eta biekin lehiatzeko irrikaz gaude!
RESUMEN DE LA TEMPORADA 19/20
Aunque ha pasado un tiempo desde la última publicación, el equipo de Formula Student Bizkaia ha estado trabajando sin cesar, incluso durante el confinamiento. Debido a la pandemia global muchas tareas han sido más complicadas de llevar acabo, sin embargo, fuimos capaces de participar en la competición virtual FSUK.
Por un lado, estaba la prueba dinámica virtual compuesto por dos partes:
Simulación de tiempo de vuelta (LTS) de aceleración y deslizamiento mediante un modelo de dinámica multicuerpo (MBD).
Carreras de simulación competitivas multijugador en línea utilizando Assetto Corsa y servidores privados alojados en IMechE.
Por otro lado, las pruebas virtuales estáticas donde expertos del sector de la automoción, que hacen el papel de jueces, ponen a prueba los conocimientos y habilidades de los miembros del equipo a través de tres eventos diferentes:
Business Plan: en el que presenta un modelo de negocio rentable del monoplaza de desarrollo propio a los jueces que hacen las veces de los posibles inversores.
Costos y Fabricación: donde realizamos la planificación financiera de todos los procesos de fabricación, materiales y elementos del vehículo.
Diseño: donde se ponen a prueba los conocimientos técnicos de los integrantes, así como la capacidad de pensar rápido y dar respuestas bien argumentadas.
En la clasificación general de la FSUK, hemos terminado en sexto lugar de los 67 participantes.
Finalmente, esta temporada pasada ha sido especial ya que hemos diseñado dos monoplazas diferentes, el FSB2020 (rueda de transmisión trasera) y el FSB2021 (tracción total), pero la etapa de fabricación se detuvo debido a la crisis sanitaria. Sin embargo, ¡los completaremos esta temporada y estamos ansiosos por competir con los dos!
