ELECTRONIC-BOX
This week, the Powertrain group has begun with the fabrication of the electronic-box. It has been made from aramid fiber taking advantage of the monocoque geometry, integrating the e-box with the chassis by laying the aramid on top of it. The Low Voltage battery box was also made from aramid, which will be attached to the new structural part of the e-box, on top of the Accumulator container. Removing the cast of the Low Voltage battery was very difficult because of the cast being very stuck to the box. We had many ideas about removing the cast, like using liquids or liquid nitrogen or either mechanical stress. In the end, we chose the last option to remove the cast.
After manufacturing the electronic box, we conclude that the car is ready to race!

Aste honetan Powertrain taldeak “Electronic-Box” egituraren laminazioarekin hasi da. Aramidazko fibrarekin laminatu da, monokaskoaren geometria aprobetxatuz, haren parte izateko monokaskoan gainlaminatuz. Gainera, tentsio baxuko baterien kutxaren fabrikazioa burutu da, ere aramida fibrarekin eginda. Kutxa hau “Electronic-Box” egitura berrira finkatuta egongo da, tentsio altuko baterien “Accumulator” kutxaren gainean.
Tentsio baxuko kutxaren desmoldeaketari dagokionez, zenbait arazo sortu ziren, moldea kutxari itsatzia geratu zelako ontze prozezuan. Moldea ateratzeko zenbait aukera planteatu ziren, hala nola zenbait produktu likido erabiltzea edo esfortzu mekanikoen bitartez ateratzea. Azkenik, esfortzu mekanikoak erabili ziren.
“Elektronic-Box” egitura honen fabrikazioarekin, kotxea ibiltzeko prest dago, hau baitzen eginda ez zegoen kotxearen azkenengo elementua.

El grupo de Powertrain ha comenzado esta semana con la laminación de la electronic-box. Se ha laminado con aramida aprovechando la geometría del monocasco, para que forme parte de la misma sobrelaminándolo.
Además, se ha concluido recientemente la fabricación de la caja de baterías de baja tensión, también laminada en aramida, la cual irá anclada a la nueva parte estructural de la e-box, encima del Accumulator. En cuanto al desmoldeado de la batería de baja, se tuvieron muchos problemas ya que el molde estaba muy pegado y no podíamos sacarlo. Se plantearon varias ideas, desde utilizar algún producto líquido o incluso nitrógeno líquido hasta intentar retirar el molde mediante esfuerzos mecánicos. Finalmente, fue de esta última forma mediante la cual conseguimos sacar el molde.
Tras la fabricación de la electronic-box, el coche está preparado para rodar ya que era el último elemento que quedaba para que el coche estuviese listo.
