The fourth edition of the Eco Rallye Petronor was held on 30 September, organised by the Real Peña Motorista Vizcaya, sponsored by the Bilbao City Council and Petronor, with the collaboration of Basquetour, Ibil, Alba and Toyota, who drove through the streets of the city on Friday.
This event is based on a test that aims to evaluate the real consumption obtained by electric vehicles on a route through one of the urban sections of the city of Bizkaia at low speed, exemplifying a metropolitan route.
During the event, the team was invited to attend with a stand in front of the Guggenheim Museum. Days before the event, we organised our materials and our team members to make the best use of the event.
Once the day arrived, we were able to enjoy the big day with the 54 vehicles powered by alternative energies, including pure electric, hybrids and plug-in hybrids.
It was remarkable how many spectators attended the event. This gave us the opportunity to demonstrate and explain what our project was all about. Providing them with ideas and new knowledge.
What was most striking about our event, is the amount of information and knowledge we were able to provide with other stands and the dissemination about our project.
